ITQI, the International Taste and Quality Institute, located in Brussels, Belgium sponsored an international photo contest for food photographs. Winners were announced on April 22, 2012. Jerry Deutsch, a food photographer in Manalapan, New Jersey was one of the winners. The winning photo and many others can be seen at http://www.photography-by-jerry.com.

ITQI is the leading independent Chef and Sommelier based organization dedicated to testing and promoting superior tasting food and drink from around the world. Their Superior Taste Award is a unique international recognition based upon the blind judgement of Chefs and Sommeliers who are opinion leaders and experts in taste. This year, ITQI added a Superior Photo award to its repertoire. 

The first round was public voting of which the top 15 photographs were selected to be judged by a panel of chefs and sommeliers. The five winning photographs will be displayed at EXPO A TABLE staring in the second half of May.

"We travalled the word and culinary cultures in few months with your pictures. Now the absolute first photo contest organized by the International Taste and Quality Institute is officially concluded. Our chefs and sommeliers were asked to choose 5 of the 15 winning photos and here are their choices.

The Chocolate Cake in Paris
New Zealand Green Shell Mussels

These and all other winning photos will be exhibited as expected from the second half of May at the “A Table – Exhibition” in Brussels.
