Carpet Company Van Engulfed in Flames on Atrium Way

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

 

Manalapan Township Fire Company #1 and Englishtown Fire Department responded to a truck fire on Wednesday, Jan. 16. The van, which belonged to an unknown carpet company, was engulfed in flames upon arrival at the scene on Atrium Way, Manalapan Township Fire Company #1 reported.

The van, which contained carpets and various tools, was located approximately four to five feet away from the home. The first Fire Chief on the scene requested that Gordons Corner Fire Company be dispatched to help knock out the fire.

The fire was fully knocked out and the only damage to the home was to its garage door and frame, according to Manalapan Township Fire Company #1.

The fire is under investigation by the Monmouth County Fire Marshall and the Manalapan Police Department.
