Englishtown's Anthony G. Laster, 60, Dies

Laster lived in Englishtown for 18 years.

 

Anthony G. Laster, 60, of Englishtown died Wednesday, November 21 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Washington, DC, Mr. Laster lived in Bradenton, FL and Charlotte, NC before moving to Englishtown in 1994. He was employed for several years as a driver for Edible Arrangements, Manalapan.

Laster was a ChessMaster, who loved to teach young people how to play chess. He was a writer, entertainer and comedian who loved to make people laugh.

He is predeceased by his father Robert Laster. Surviving is his devoted wife Dorothy Joseph Laster, his mother Elvira Vivanco Laster of Peru, two loving sisters Martha and Theresa Laster, two nieces Renee Mullen and Amy Joseph, five nephews Damien Katz, Gabriel and Madison Williams, Raphael Raedie, Clement Joseph and brother-in-law Edward Joseph and his wife Susan.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday November 26th at the Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg. Cremation will be private. Visiting hours for family and friends will be Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
