Final Storm Debris Collection on 3 Manalapan Streets

Only three more streets left for storm debris pick-up!

Manalapan Township Department of Public Works is working with hired contractors to clean up the storm debris that Hurricane Sandy left behind.

The streets that are scheduled for branch, brush, and debris collection starting on Friday, Dec. 21 are:

    • Oakland Mills
    • Sweetmans Lane
    • Woodward Road

These are the final streets to be completed in the first collection schedule.

If your street is not on the collection schedule that does not mean that the street has been missed. According to the Township, a second and final collection will take place within the Township once everything has been picked up a first time.

A second and final collection for storm debris will also begin on Friday, Dec. 21 along the following routes:

      • Alexandria Road area
      • Craig Road and surrounding areas
      • Monmouth Heights – Forman Lane area
      • Monmouth Heights – Edwards Lane area

Please place all tree limbs, branches, brush, and damaged trees at the curb for collection and be sure that it is not in the street or juts out into the street as this can be hazardous to drivers.

The Public Works and contractor trucks may be coming around the neighborhood to collect debris in the early morning hours in order to accomplish as much as possible.

As usual, Main Street in Tennent seems to be forgotten once again. We had to go to town hall and complain to get stuff picked up after Irene, I guess we'll have to do the same thing again.
