Freehold Student Advocates Safe Driving

Brittany Wisebrod wins district-wide banner contest.

Freehold Township teen Brittany Wisebrod was recognized at Monday's Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education meeting for winning the Teen Driver Safety Banner competition.

This district-wide annual contest is open to all sophmore students, where they are required to design a banner and slogan advocating safe driving.

Wisebraud's banner, which read, "Was The Message That Important? Say It When You Arrive.  Don't Text And Drive!" was voted on unanimously, according to Superintendent Charles Sampson.

Sampson invited Wisebraud and her parents to the front of the room where he presented her with a plaque for her outstanding acheivement. The banner will be hung alongside previous winners in the Freehold Regional High School District Administration Building.

Congratulations on this project! Out on Route 34 we see far too many drivers with thumbs on the phone, not the wheel.
