Manalapan Police have confirmed that the Freehold woman who was involved in a car collision in front of Sun National Bank on Route 9 in Manalapan Tuesday is in stable condition.

Susan Gurutto Gibbs, 55, was medevaced to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune Township for serious injuries after her van exited Route 9, traveled 185 feet across the grass and struck a large tree, according to Manalapan police. 

Route 9 South was closed in that area for approximately 2 and a half hours while police investigated the scene.
