Manalapan-Englishtown Schools to Hold Public Hearing on Security

The public hearing is scheduled for January 15, 2013 at 7 p.m.

The Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District Board of Education has scheduled a public hearing on school security within the district.

All parents are invited to come out and discuss how to address security within Manalapan-Englishtown schools with the district administration and the Board of Education in the wake of the Newtown, Conn. shooting.

The district has been proactive in increasing security presence at the schools daily, but wants to hear what parents have to say. The public hearing on school security is scheduled for January 15, 2013 at 7 p.m. within the Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School auditorium.

An overview of the school district's emergency management plan will be presented by the Chair of the district's Emergency Management Planning Committee. Then, all parents will have an opportunity to ask questions and address specific concerns.
