Maybe the same little darlings who think Holiday Park is their personal racetrack for their ATV's and motorized min-bikes..

Excuse me Mr.Mike Rath these kids have no where else to ride, the tracks cost alot of money that they dont have. I understand that they shouldn't be ripping up the field, but they are just trying to have a little fun as you tried to when you were a kid, so just mind you own business and stop ruining this town.

People not from the suburbs don't know the importance of suburban life.

Let them all watch the union paid worker repair the damage after they pay for the replacements material with their parents. Then they can do community service and clean up garbage on the streets for a week in the cold weather (with their parents). Let's see them do it again, and let them set an example for other to follow who want to ruin this town.

Nothing "happened" to this town. Kids have vandalized school property for years, it's nothing new.

And if you have a problem with kids riding atvs and motorized mini bikes, move to a retirement home or 55 and over. Clearly you're just old and cranky - manalapan is crowded enough, no need to take up space and be miserable.

Congratulations for the dumbest comment of the night :)

I graduated from MHS a couple of years ago, you fool. So continue with your baseless assumptions that just make you look more and more ignorant by the moment.

If you haven't noticed, the quality of the people in this town has significantly decreased over the last decade. The crime rates are up, the school rankings are way down, and advanced courses are being cancelled in favor of simpler ones.

So, you can continue being an arrogant fool with your assumptions, and I'll continue being rational.

you sound like one of the parents who think their kids can do no wrong...no wonder they think they can do anything they want and get away with it.
as for atvs and motorized mini bikes - these kids ride them in the middle of the street at high rates of speed...if/when they get hit it will be interesting to see your reaction...as for riding in the park...(1) its illegal and (2) they are rude and inconsiderate of others in the park...clearly you are ignorant...calling people old and cranky and suggesting others should move - you should let the little darlings ride their atvs on your property so they don't get hurt and if its so wonderful...there are legal tracks not far from here for them to ride to their heart's content...a little consideration goes a long way.

They should be permanently banned from participating in any Manalapan rec programs. Agree with the community service comment, as well.

He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone.
I'm not in any way condoning the vandalism nor suggesting that the kids (and their parents) be let off the hook, however I suggest that those that are ready to throw them to the wolves need to lighten up a bit. As for the suggestion by "the font", you will need to explain how banning them from the fantastic rec programs that we have in this town will help them mature into responsible adults. Perhaps their punishment should include mandatory participation in a program as a coach, ref or other position.

They committed a crime while participating in the rec's basketball program. They made their choice and need to realize there are consequences to their actions. There are other programs not run by Manalapan Recreation that they can still participate in.

Who in their right mind would want to give these vandals a leadership role (coach, ref, etc.)?? The idea of doing that is insane! Those kids, if they are rec participants, should be banned immediately! There has to consequences to these actions so that a lesson can be learned. Taking responsiblity now is what will help them mature.

I've been on God's green earth for a very long time so I actually had a good laugh at all these comments. People have been talking about bad kids, the downfall of the community, no values etc. for as long as I can remember. Her's a news flash for all the complainers: nothing has changed except you have aged and now see things differently. Manlapan is a gorgeous community with terrific kids, scchools, points of recreation - you name it. Want to see bad? Go visit a few slums and even there you may see lots of run down neighborhoods but you still have good, hard-working people who just happen to be poor. Stop and smell the roses. Life is too short to only see the bad.

I ride motor cross and you should stop hating them also I'm a student at manalapan high school and those who say crime rate is up is the people who stare out the window because they have nothing eles to do and call the cops when u see 4 kids walking down the street and call it a gang.

It seems that Hammurabi's Code is alive and well in Manalapan - I mean Babalonia. Perhaps we should cut their hands off so they can't do it again.

Parents need to watch their children better! My child participates in the basketball program as well. I don't just drop off my kid and pick him up. I actually stay and watch what is going on.

I race motocross and everybody looks at us like we are the bad kids. So what we ride dirt bikes instead of throwing a football, what's so wrong with that? Does that make us bad??? Mine you own business and u should keep Ur eyes on Ur kids because those are probably the ones that have know life and are doing the vandalism.
