Manalapan Man Faces More Burglary, Theft, Fraud Charges

Additional charges of burglary, theft, and fraudulently using a credit card have been brought up against Christopher Cavallo, of Manalapan. Cavallo is currently remanded in Monmouth County Correctional Institute on numerous burglary, theft, and fraud charges out of Manalapan, Freehold, and Marlboro Townships.

The Freehold Township Police Department charged Cavallo, 32, with fraudulent use of a credit card for using a stolen credit card at the CVS/Pharmacy, Walgreens, and Walmart in Freehold on Jan. 24. The charges were brought against Cavallo on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

Cavallo allegedly used the stolen credit card to purchase goods at the various locations spending $79.07 at CVS, $157.08 at Walgreens, and $332.85 at Walmart, the arrest warrant indicated.

This was the same stolen credit card that Cavallo reportedly used at the CVS/Pharmacy and Wawa in Manalapan Township shortly after burglarizing a Manalapan home and motor vehicle on Jan. 24. 

Manalapan police charged Cavallo with burglary and theft on Thursday, Feb. 14, Cavallo reportedly burglarized a car parked on Orchard Hill Drive in Manalapan during the early morning hours of Monday, Feb. 4. A Dell Latitude laptop computer and a variety of tools were stolen; the items were valued at $2,000. The car was unlocked at the time of the theft, according to police.

His bail out of Manalapan Township is set at $25,000 and his bail out of Freehold Township is set at $45,000 with no 10 percent bond. His initial appearance in front of Judge James M. Newman is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 25 at 8:30 a.m.
