The Manalapan Township Municipal Building will be closed Tuesday because of the inclement weather conditions brought by Hurricane Sandy.

Township offices closed at noon on Monday strong winds and heavy rains battered Monmouth County, according to the municipal Web site.

Garbage pickup will be canceled again Tuesday. Residents should secure their garbage cans in their garage or home.

Residents in areas that easily flood are allowed to park their vehicles at the municipal complex in the parking lot across from the post office.
