Manalapan Schools are Going Green
The high school and elementary school district are looking to cut down on paper usage.
In an effort to save trees, both the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District and the Freehold Regional High School District have announced that they are going green. The districts will be introducing more environmentally-friendly methods for the 2012-2013 school year in order to cut down on paper usage.
The MERS district is kicking off this initiative by introducing a Parent Portal system to print out students' bus passes. Parents or guardians can access the bus information online with the child's student ID and birth date. Simply input the Student ID and birth date at this website, click submit, and you should be provided with your child's bus information.
Now, you can click on the bus pass symbol on the right side of the printer and the bus pass will display on the screen. Please click on the printer icon on the black bar at the bottom of the screen to print the bus pass.
The high school district is requiring students and their parents or guardians to complete and authorize all of the student forms online this year. The Family Education Privacy Act and Directory Notification of Rights must be read.
The Student-Family Handbook form, Internet/Intranet Use Agreement form, and Media and Information Release form must be reviewed, completed, and authorized by means of the district's Parent Portal system.
