Monroe Man Accused of Using Stolen Credit Card at Manalapan Wawa
The man found the card at Wawa and then used it to purchase gift cards days later, according to police.
The Manalapan Police Department has charged Richard Hartley, of Monroe Township, with credit card theft and fraudulently using a credit card in Manalapan on December 30, 2012.
Hartley, 51, allegedly used a stolen credit card to purchase a $100 Lowe’s Gift Card at the Wawa convenience store located on Union Hill Road. Then, he reportedly charged another $489.95 in gift cards and another $200 in Lowe’s gift cards to the credit card at the same location, according to the arrest warrant, a few minutes later.
Manalapan police said that Hartley found the credit card at the Wawa convenience store on Dec. 26, four days prior to using it fraudulently.
Hartley faces three charges of fraudulently using a credit card and one charge of credit card theft. He is currently remanded in Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of $60,000 bail.

They NEVER look at the signature anyway! My boys use my cards all the time and have never been denied by a cashier.
