Dorothy Spurvey, 84, of Manalapan, died on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Wedgewood Garden Care Center, Freehold. Born in Fox Harbour, Newfoundland, she lived in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Manalapan 28 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward in 2007, and her grandson, Paul. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Ginger and Edward and Gerri; her three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Mike Mozeleski, Donna and Jim McArdle and Annette and Dan McIntyre; 11 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, May 9, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM, at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, May 10, at 11:30 AM at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
