Obituary: Josephine G. Dottrina, 87

Dottrina lived in Manalapan for eight years.

 

Josephine G. Dottrina, 87, of Manalapan, died on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Toms River before moving to Manalapan eight years ago.

She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan. Dottrina was a member of the Covered Bridge Christian Neighbors Club and volunteered at Covered Bridge's Swim Club for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony, in 1996; and her three siblings, Ralph and Leo Sorrentino and Florence Paramatto. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Michele of Morganville; her daughter, Maria Cohen; and three grandchildren, James, Julia and Rachel.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 31 at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan.

A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 1 at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the National Kidney Foundation .
