Police: Manalapan Guitar Teacher Spanked Student for Sexual Gratification

Musician's Workshop teacher Frank Diliberto, Jr allegedly sexually assaulted a student.

A Musician’s Workshop guitar teacher has been charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child after investigators discovered he was spanking a music student for his own sexual gratification, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni announced Friday. The alleged assault of the student, who was under 13, took place some time in the past few months.

Manalapan resident Frank Diliberto, Jr., 60, was arrested Thursday evening, police said. 

He is currently being held in Monmouth County Correctional Institute on $200,000 bail with no option to post 10 percent of the bond. Bail was set by Monmouth County Superior Court Judge David F. Bauman, P.J.C. Bauman ordered Diliberto to have no contact with the victim and prohibited him from returning to the scene where the purported sexual assault took place.
