Recent MHS Alum Charged With Heroin Possession
Police found several glassine bags with suspected heroin on Brittany Vatovec, 19.
Brittany Vatovec, of Susan Court in Manalapan Township, was arrested on Monday for being in possession of a controlled dangeorus substance suspected to be heroin, according to an arrest warrant issued by Manalapan police.
Patrolman Dennis O'Brien made the arrest of Vatovec, 19, who graduated from Manalapan High School in 2010. According to police, Vatovec had several glassine bags containing suspected heroin in her front left jacket pocket. The bags were stamped with the words "Steady Rider" in red.
Vatovec was arrested and bail was set at $10,000. She currently is not residing at Monmouth County Correctional Institute in Freehold. Her initial appearance will be held on Feb. 6 at 8:30 a.m., according to the arrest warrant.
Vatovec was previously arrested in May of 2011 in East Windsor on charges of possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
