The holidays are long gone and there is something invigorating about a new year. It’s a chance to finally do something for yourself.Resolutions have been made and now it’s time to ”act” upon them or at least one of them! Exercise is ranked at the top three as one of the most popular resolutions a person makes at the start of every year. Unfortunately, it is also one of the first ones to be discarded after the first two weeks.
But, for those who ready to commit, do yourself a favor and consult with your doctor before starting an exercise program. Believe me, folks, I cannot stress this point enough. Physical activity, at any age, but especially for those over 40, imposes a stress on your body and without clearance form your doctor could do you more harm than good. Therefore, call your doctor, schedule a complete physical and you’ll be on your way to a new you.
That’s all for now – and remember, “Take care of your body today and it will take care of you tomorrow!”
