I am on vacation from my studio this week, but not from what I do and who I am. Yesterday, I went to visit the lovely town of Frenchtown, NJ and while shopping in this adorable boutique filled with gorgeous things called Garbo & Sasha the owner commented on how much she loved my hair color (thank you Kimmarie). Well, me being me, we of course started talking about color in regards to makeup ~ one thing led to another and before you knew it I was out to my car getting my travel kit and gave both owners a makeover right then and there in the middle of their store! We had such a good time and it never feels like work to me when I am doing what I love!
The owners want to invite me back to do an event in their store and are excited to get the products I used on them. My point in sharing this with you? When you love what you do it never feels like work, yet you easily make contacts and connections ~ you are happy to do it on your day off with your daughter and boyfriend in tow (who were patient and great as always).
Let 2012 be the year you discover what you truly love to do. For me it is not just about makeup - it is about showing a women what is truly beautiful about her face, showing her how to accentuate that and making her feel good about herself. That is so rewarding! The fact that I love it is probably what helps to make me so great at it and definitely what makes it never feel like work!
"As 2011 comes to an end, look gently back over the year and see all that you truly have for which to be grateful… Each of us has many positive traits, situations and people as part of our life and gratitude is easily attached to them… However, in painful situations, gratitude may be more difficult but still beneficial; in these times, be grateful for the lesson and carry that with you into 2012 while leaving the pain and suffering behind"… Kenny Brixey
Wishing all of you a very happy, healthy 2012 filled with passion and a love for what you do!
