Barnabas Health Hosts FREE "Guys Night Out" Men's Health Event

As one in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in the U.S., Barnabas Health is hosting “Guys Night Out,” a free men’s health event featuring a discussion of prostate health, prevention and treatment on Wednesday, September 12, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant.  Area men, along with their spouses and friends, are encouraged to attend the event and take charge of their health. 

Physician experts from CommunityKimball and Monmouth Medical Centers will address compelling topics and the latest technological advances, including:  “Treatment Options for Prostate Cancer:  Radiation Therapy & Cyberknife,” presented by radiation oncologist David D’Ambrosio, M.D., medical director, Cyberknife Program at the J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer Center at Community Medical Center; “Robotic Surgery,” presented by urologist Pierre Mendoza, M.D., medical co-director of the Robotic Surgery Program at Monmouth Medical Center; and “General Urological Men’s Health and Erectile Dysfunction,” presented by Kimball Medical Center urologist Charles Tomaszewski, M.D.

Guys Night Out will feature a men’s wellness fair with interactive displays, including a golf swing body mechanics analysis, balance testing and a hands-on experience with the da Vinci Robot. Health-related vendors, giveaways, and free blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose screenings will be offered. Attendees will also have an opportunity to win a golf foursome, Giants vs. Steelers tickets and a one-year Atlantic Club membership. Dinner will be provided.
