Local Schools Compete at High School Ethics Bowl

Here is a look at what is going on in Manalapan and Englishtown today.

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is calling for an 80 percent chance of rain today and a possible thunderstorm; the high temperature will be around 55 degrees. The rain will likely continue into the night and possibly mix with sleet at around 2 a.m. The low temperature will dip to about 33. 

2. Moving Sale: There will be a moving sale today and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 23 Longstreet Road in Manalapan. For a look at what is being sold, click here.

3. High School Ethics Bowl: The High School Ethics Bowl Competition is being held at the Monmouth County Library today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The competition is made up of teams of local high school students who will be debating over complex ethical situations. They will be basing their arguments on simple ideas including fairness, honesty, human dignity, and ethical living. The Greater Monmouth Chamber of Commerce is co-sponsoring tis event with the Library.
