Teen Sewing Craft at Monmouth County Library

1. Weather: Today is expected to be sunny with a high temperature around 54, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight the sky will be mostly clear and the low temperature will near 31. 

2. Schools: All schools within the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District and the Freehold Regional High School District will be closed on Thursday and Friday for the NJEA Convention.

3. "Pocket Purses" Craft: Students between sixth and twelfth grades are invited to come to the Monmouth County Library today for a fun sewing craft called “Pocket Purses”. Participant will learn how to make a small purse that can be embellished. The library will be supplying the material for the purse along with strapping, chain, lace, thread, and needles. However, participants must bring their own embellishments for the purse - such as beads, buttons, chars, or old broken jewelry. This craft is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Registration is required. Please call 732-431-7220 ext. 7222 to register.
