Wind Chill to Hit As Low As -5 Degrees

Here is a look at what is going on today in Manalapan and Englishtown.

1. Weather: Snow, snow, and more snow! The National Weather Service is calling for snowfall for most of the morning and into early afternoon. The high temperature today will be a frigid 17 with a wind chill value as low as −5. There is a possible accumulation of 1 to 2 inches of snowfall today (on top of the 4 to 8 inches that fell last night). Tonight will be mostly clear with the low dropping to about −2. 


2. Schools: Schools are closed today due to the snowfall.

3. Government: Gov. Chris Christie called a state of emergency last night for today and closed all state offices. Christie also encourages all residents to stay off of the roads today as travel conditions will be extremely dangerous.
