PHOTOS: Manalapan Holds Candlelight Vigil to Remember Newtown Victims

Members of the community gathered to remember those who lost their lives in the Newtown shooting.

A short candlelight vigil was held outside of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building on Wednesday, Dec. 19. Mayor Susan Cohen lead the ceremony, gathering community members around the flagpole in front of the building.

The names of all 26 victims who lost their lives in the brutal Newtown, Conn. shootings were announced and 26 candles were lit in their memory.

A moment of silence to acknowledge those who perished, as well as to pay tribute to those who survive, was observed.
