Celebrate Gordons Corner Fire Company's 50th Anniversary

A parade and celebration will take place at the fire house this Saturday, Sept. 8.

The is holding a celebration in honor of their 50 years of devotion to fire safety in Manalapan Township. Come out to the Gordons Corner Fire Company firehouse, located at 683 Tennent Road, on Saturday, Sept. 8 to join in the celebration.

A parade throughout town will kick off the festivities at noon and a fun party will follow. The cost of admission is $10 for adults (ages 13 and older) and $5 for children between the ages of 6 and 12; children under five are free. 

Enjoy all-you-can eat food, including hamburgers, hot dogs, salads and more. There will also be games, entertainment, and a DJ playing music all day. T-shirts and glass mugs will also be available for purchase - and all proceeds go to the fire department.

Be sure to stay until the end of the party (around 5 p.m.) when the department will officially "wet down" their new fire truck!

Parking will take place at Towne Pointe shopping center and, if you don't feel like walking, a hay wagon will shuttle people over to the fire house.
