Expect Traffic Delays Near Raceway Park this Weekend

The Tough Mudder competition is expected bring about 25,000 people to Raceway Park.

The Tough Mudder Tri-State competition is coming to Old Bridge Township Raceway Park this weekend, so traffic delays are expected in the area around the park and on Union Hill Road and Pension Road, according to Manalapan Police.

The popular obstacle course competition is expected to bring about 25,000 people to the area.

Parking for the event on Saturday, Oct. 20 will not be available on site or allowed within the vicinity of Raceway Park. People that park along the roadways will be ticketed and possibly towed.

There will be two off site locations for parking and shuttles will transport  participants and spectators to Raceway Park on Saturday, one located in Oceanport and another located in Holmdel. Cars with more than four people will be allowed to park for free, cars with three or less people will be charged $10.

If people illegally park on Saturday due to the lack of parking available close to the race site, back ups and delays will occur, according to the Tough Mudder website.

On Sunday, Oct. 21, parking will be available on-site at Raceway Park.
