Happy Day Farm Reveals New Corn Maze Design

Happy Day Farm in Manalapan is gearing up for the fall season with their custom cut corn maze.

This year, the theme is “The Big Game,” which should stoke the excitement for Superbowl XLVIII that is already brewing. Seen from a helicopter, the maze depicts a bridge between New York and New Jersey, along with the Superbowl logo. The game will be hosted at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on February 2, 2014.

Tim Stockel, who owns Happy Day Farm, started growing pumpkins back in 2006, and created his first corn maze in 2009. Last year, the maze featured the faces of Jersey boys Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Frank Sinatra, and Joe Pesce. A local tradition, the 10-acre cornfield is cut into a different design by artists from Utah each year.

This year, the farm is adding a number of new attractions, including a jumping pillow, a spiderweb for kids to climb on, and pie-eating contests.

"This place is a one of a kind place and there is so much do for people of all ages," said PJ Mastalski, Manager of Happy Day Farm.
