Hartigan's and Applebee's Offer Free Meals for Veterans

If you are a local veteran you are guaranteed two free meals on Friday, Nov. 11 in honor of Veteran's Day in Manalapan and Englishtown. Both and Applebee's are offering free meals all day long on Friday to all those who have served in the armed forces.

Proof of active duty or veteran status is required, which includes a U.S. Uniform Services ID Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, photograph in uniform or wearing uniform, DD214, Citation or Commendation. 

This is the third year that Applebee's is extending this service as a show of gratitude and respect to all those who serve. Last year, Applebee's served over 17,000 veterans in New Jersey alone. This offer is only valid for dine-in only at Applebee's.

The special Veteran's Day menu at Applebee's includes:

• 7 oz. House Sirloin
• Bacon Cheeseburger
• Three Cheese Chicken Penne
• Chicken Tenders Platter
• Oriental Chicken Salad
• Fiesta Lime Chicken®
• Double Crunch Shrimp

All entrees are served with their traditional sides, but appetizers, beverages, desserts, altered side dishes, and tip are not included in the free meal at Applebee's.

Applebee's is also hosting a "Thank You Movement" in honor of Veteran's Day. Diners are encouraged to write a letter thanking the currently serving troops. Then the letters will be packaged and sent overseas to those in the active military.
