Icy Conditions Lead to Speed Restrictions on the Parkway, Turnpike

The speed limit has been reduced to 45 miles an hour on both roads.

Icy roadways have resulted in traffic problems across the region on Friday, and led to speed restrictions on the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway, according to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s website.

The speed limit has been reduced to 45 miles an hour on the New Jersey Turnpike in both directions between the Delaware Memorial Bridge in Pennsville and the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee. Drivers are advised to use caution and expect delays.

On the Garden State Parkway, the speed limit has been reduced to 45 miles an hour in both directions between Southern Terminus/Route 109 in Cape May to New York State Line in Montvale due to road conditions.
