Local Animal Rescue Helping Pets Affected by Sandy

Please drop-off needed supplies or consider making a financial donation.

Manalapan's Homeless Animal Lifeline (HAL) and the Animal Protection League of New Jersey (APLNJ) are coordinating efforts to help companion animals and their families (as well as feral cat caregivers) in Monmouth County affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Needed supplies include:

  • cat and dog dry and canned food
  • rabbit food (high quality pellets only)
  • rabbit hay (timothy or alfalfa hay)
  • bird food (for companion birds)
  • food bowls
  • blankets, sheets, towels
  • litter
  • litter pans (anything that could even pass as one)
  • wire dog crates
  • plastic carriers (carry cases)
  • paper plates, paper towels, plastic forks or spoons
  • dog leashes/collars
  • bottled water
  • batteries
  • garbage bags

Please drop off these donations at the APLNJ office located at 18 McBride Road in Manalapan.
