Manalapan 9U Ripken All Stars Honored for Second Title Win

The baseball team was officially honored by the Manalapan Township Committee for their winning season.

The Manalapan 9U Ripken All-Star squad were presented with an official Manalapan Township proclamation last week by Mayor Susan Cohen.

The 9U Ripken All Star Squad were commemorated for capturing the Northern NJ State Title over Edison on July 29, 2012, winning 12-2. This win gave the team their second title in two years, as well as an 11-0 Ripken All Star record.

“We are pleased to publicly commend the Manalapan 9U Ripken All Star team for their  fine efforts, their sportsmanship, inspired team play, and to extend this token of affection and admiration for which they’re regarded in this community,” Cohen read from the proclamation.

All Manalapan 9U Ripken All Star team members, Manager Tom Guidice and Coaches Frank Matrone, Tom Krezel, and Aaron Hode were present at the Manalapan Township Municipal Building to accept the proclamation.
