Drop Shred: Manalapan Paper Shredding Event Saturday

Have your old, unneeded confidential documents safely shredded at Manalapan Town Hall this weekend.

Forget about the falling leaves, it’s time to see some falling paper! Manalapan Township is holding a Paper Shredding Event this Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Manalapan Township Municipal Building.

Schlep over your old papers, bills, confidential documents, and more to have them shredded. Not only does this help you clean out your filing cabinets, it helps prevent identity theft.

All of the papers will be shredded on location in a mobile truck. Be sure to remove all metals and binder clips from the paper before bringing it to be shredded. Each person is asked to bring no more than 100 lbs. of paper, which is equivalent to about 4 boxes.

The event, which is funded by a New Jersey State Recycling Grant, will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until the mobile truck is full. This is a free service that is offered to Manalapan residents only.

For more information, or if you have any questions, please contact the Manalapan Recycling Center at 732-446-8404.
