Scouting Information Day at Two County Libraries

The Monmouth Council of Boy Scouts will be participating in Scouting Information day by touting their organization at the Howell and Colts Neck libraries.

Interested in becoming a cub scout or boy scout? The Monmouth Council of Boy Scouts is looking to recruit new members and will be holding two information sessions on Saturday, Sept. 29 within the Monmouth County Library System.

Information tables will be set up at the Howell Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and at the Colts Neck Library from noon to 4 p.m.

The Monmouth Council of Boy Scouts will be present to provide information about Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and their Venturing programs.

The Monmouth Council of Boy Scouts is chartered by the Boy Scouts of America and encompasses nearly 200 Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, Venturing Crews and Exploring Posts serving over 7,000 children between the ages of 7 and 20.

Their Scout Reservations are located at Quail Hill Scout Reservation in Manalapan and Forestburgh Scout Reservation in Sullivan County, NY. The Quail Hill reservation is made up of 220 acres of woodlands and meadows and the Forestburgh reservation is 1,200 acres located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains; both facilities are accredited by the Boy Scouts of America.
