VIDEO: Englishtown Residents Forced to Evacuate During Storm

Not a usual flood zone, Main St. residents saw some high waters during Hurricane Irene.

Residents of Englishtown were suprised when, during the middle of Hurricane Irene, Main St. started taking on water. Not an evacuation zone, much of the flooding is attributed to a creek nearby. With flooding reaching dangerous levels and basement pumps failing to keep up, some had to leave their homes during the eye of the storm, seeking shelter elsewhere. Now, homeowners are facing water damage, sink holes and chemical buildups, waiting for FEMA to approve the return to their homes.
