Weekend Guide: Hunt for Eggs and Eat Corned Beef

Manalapan Easter Egg Hunt

Grab your Easter baskets and sneakers and run on over to the Manalapan Recreation Center for their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 16 at 11 a.m. Keep your eyes peeled for the Easter Bunny! Children of all ages are encouraged to come join the fun. The rain date is scheduled for March 23.

St. Patrick’s Day at Knob Hill Golf Club

The Sycamore Grille at Knob Hill Golf Club is offering traditional Irish food this weekend including corned beef and cabbage, homemade Irish soda bread and shepherd’s pie. They will also be offering special Irish drink specials all weekend long.

“Carnival of Books” Children’s Book Fair

Step right up into the big top this Saturday, March 16 as Monmouth County Library is holding their annual children’s book fair with a circus-inspired theme. Come see a one-man circus, a dog performing tricks, play some games, listen to an award-winning author - oh, and check out some books! The book fair will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Knights of Columbus St. Patrick’s Day Dinner

The Englishtown Knights of Columbus is holding their annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner on Sunday, March 17 beginning at 1 p.m. There will be great irish food, irish dancers, and live entertainment. The dinner will take place at Knights of Columbus building at 3 LaSatta Avenue in Englishtown. Buy your tickets in advance and save. Lecture on Religious Freedom in Israel

Rabbi Miri Gold, a reform Rabbi for Kehilat Birkat Shalom at Kibbutz Gezer in Israel, will be speaking about religious freedom in Israel at Temple Shaari Emeth on Sunday, March 17 at 11:30 a.m. A light lunch will be included; tickets cost $5.
