Weekend Guide: Strawberry Festival, Cub Scout Carnival

Nicole’s Heart Fundraiser

A fundraiser in honor of Nicole’s Heart, a non-profit organization in memory of Nicole Trott, will be held at Applebee’s on Route 9 in Manalapan Saturday morning.  A pancake breakfast will take place from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and a car wash within the parking lot of the restaurant is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets for the breakfast cost $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under. Cars cost $6 to be washed; trucks cost $8. 

The funds collect at this fundraiser will be used to raise awareness and offset costs for cardiac screening of high school athletes in honor of Trott. To purchase tickets, please contact Keri DePasquale at 908-216-7019.

Sons of Norway Annual Strawberry Festival

The Sons of Norway is hosting their annual strawberry festival at the 80 Boundary Road in Marlboro on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. Come out and enjoy some fresh local strawberries over delicious homemade short cake with homemade whipped cream. There will also be Norwegian crafts and home baked cakes!

Cub Scout Carnival

Cub Scout Pack 157 is hosting carnival night on Friday at St. Thomas More Church at 6:30 p.m. Come out and enjoy games, snacks, prizes and more.
