Check your wallet, clean out the drawers, dig into your pants’ pockets because someone has a New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions ticket worth $250,000 that will expire on Oct. 5 if it is not validated.

The Mega Millions ticket is a second tier winner from the October 5, 2012 drawing. The ticket was purchased at Wegman’s, 55 Route 9 South, Manalapan in Monmouth County. The winning numbers are 08, 09, 16, 32 and 39, the Mega Ball number is 15 and the Megaplier Multiplier number is 3.

Ticket holders have one year from the date of game draw to claim their prize. This $250,000 ticket will officially expire on October 5, 2013. Anyone holding this winning ticket should contact Lottery Headquarters at 609-599-5801 or visit a local Lottery retailer as soon as possible to file their claim. The State receives a minimum of 30 percent of the unclaimed prize money annually to fund Lottery beneficiaries.

Please visit the NJLottery.net website and select the "Where Lottery Money Goes" tab to see where the State Treasury allocates Lottery revenue. Special player promotions and Second Chance drawings, such as the Million Dollar Replay program, are also funded by the unclaimed prize fund, returning unclaimed winnings back to the Lottery playing public.
