Manalapan Holiday Musical Extravaganza

Enjoy music performed by the Manalapan Youth Orchestra and an award-winning babershop chorus, Brothers in Harmony.

The award-winning Brothers in Harmony, a fifty-member barbershop chorus, will perform alongside the Manalapan Township Symphony Prep Orchestra for a free holiday concert on Sunday, Dec. 11 at at 1 p.m.

Sponsored by the Manalapan Arts Council and the Manalapan Township Parks and Recreation Department, the concert will honor Santa Claus, who will be making a special guest appearance.

Jack Pinto directs the chorus Brothers in Harmony. The group is a competitive chorus who sings a four-part a capella in the traditional barbership style. And the Manalapan Youth Orchestra is made up of classical musicians (ages 8 and higher) who perform symphonic music.

The concert will open with a string ensemble and crescendo into a full orchestra performing music from "The Nutcracker", including the song "Trepak". Angela McCurdy is the musical director.

After you see Santa Claus and listen to the music, stay a while and enjoy some light refreshments.
