Howell Man Appearing in 'Big Brother'

Cody Calafiore is looking to win $500,000.

A 23-year old Howell resident has subjected himself to a social experiment on national television.

Cody Calafiore has landed a part on the CBS national TV series Big Brother, where he must spend three months inside an urban treehouse studded with videocameras with 15 other people in hopes of emerging with $500,000.

Big Brother premiered Wednesday and Thursday on CBS. You can watch the episodes here (after the commercials end). Or you can tap the live feed, and watch in real time, from the website.

Calafiore was among the first four contestants to enter the house. Commenters on Entertainment Weekly's website call him "eye candy" and "beefcake." One of his housemates declared she is love with him.

But the potential of a "showmance" should not disrupt Califore's drive to win. The sales account executive, who had once been picked up by as a professional soccer player for Major League Soccer's Columbus Crew until being sidelined with injury, is also an expert in dating and girls. He is on Seventeen Magazine's "2014 Hot Guy Panel," where he gives advice. In a 2012, he confessed he loves a girl with confidence.
