Brawny Dog and Exotic Cat Looking for Forever Homes

Cuddly Creatures Adoptions and Animal Rescue has a large, lovable dog and an affectionate cat in need of permanent homes.

Barnabus is an 8-9 month old, currently 90 lb., big baby of a boy, who we recently pulled from a kill shelter when we saw his beautiful face on an urgent list! We went to the shelter to meet and assess him. The poor dog was so emotionally closed off that he wouldn't come out of his cage. Instead, he sat there and cried, so afraid of the unknown.  He was definitely not properly socialized where he had been, but despite his obvious fear, he was still very sweet, and gently licked our hands.

We couldn't resist taking him into the rescue. He was immediately placed into a foster home with cats, and other dogs of various sizes to help with getting him socialized.

Barnabus is now thriving! He initially "pancaked" to the floor and refused to move when he was leashed. He is now going for daily walks with other dogs in the home, and does excellent. He is also house trained, and crate trained.

Barnabus does great with the cats, and the other dogs. You can take anything out of his mouth without an issue, as well as stick your hands in his food bowl. He truly is a gentle giant! He is still a bit scared when meeting new faces, but warms up quickly.  His foster family and other dogs in the home are teaching him, that there is no reason to be afraid.

We would ideally like to place him in a home with past large breed dog experience, and a fenced in yard.  We also feel that a home with older children, or no children would be most compatible for him, as he seems to thrive best in a calmer environment.

Ciarra is a beautiful Oriental Shorthair/Siamese Mix, who is about one-year-old. We rescued her from a kill shelter, not a moment too soon. She was dumped there, almost completely to term in her pregnancy. The shelter's policy is to spay expected mother's upon intake, so poor Ciarra was forced to lose her babies.

When we pulled her out, she was extremely depressed and emaciated, with barely the strength to eat. Despite a rough start in life, Ciarra is the sweetest little cat, who has so much love to give. Now that she has spent some time in foster care, she has been given lots of TLC and is doing wonderfully!

Her appetite and strength are back and so are her spirits! She loves to have someone sit with her and give her the much needed affection she deserves. She just rubs up against you, and purrs, and purrs!  This beautiful little girl would thrive in any loving family.

Ciarra is spayed, micro chipped, and up-to-date with her vaccines.  Her adoption fee is $120, which is a tax deductible donation, as we are 501(C)(3).  For an application to adopt Ciarra, please email us at CuddlyCreaturesInc@yahoo.com For more pictures of Ciarra, please visit us at www.CuddlyCreaturesInc.com.
