YOU CAN BE A LIFE SAVER

On September 25, 2012 an information session on organ donation will be held at the Monmouth County Library HEADQUARTERS.

The event is being organized in consultation and with the active support of the New Jersey Organ and Tissue Sharing Network (NJ Sharing Network), a non-profit, federally designated organ procurement organization, responsible for recovery of organs and tissues in New Jersey.

There are over 115,000 people awaiting organ transplants and New Jersey ranks 44th in the US in terms of registered organ donors. 18 people die each day waiting for transplants that can't take place because of the shortage of donated organs. Organ donation is free and a single donor can help save upto 8 lives.

Donors and recipients will talk about their personal experiences.
