Holiday Job Fair at Monmouth County Library Friday

Find your seasonal job this Friday, Oct. 12 at the Monmouth County Library's holiday job fair.

Looking for some holiday work this year? Look no further than Monmouth County Library Headquarters in Manalapan, which is holding a seasonal job fair this Friday, Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Monmouth County’s seasonal job fair is a great opportunity for someone to find the right holiday employment opportunity,” Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone, the liaison to the county’s Division of Workforce Development, said. “Our area’s top holiday employers are looking for talented candidates to help them through the busy selling season.”

The free event hosts 70 employment resource organizations, many of which have retail positions available. Job seekers do not have to register for the event.

This holiday job fair is a partnership with the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the Monmouth County Workforce Investment Board, New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Monmouth-Ocean Development Council, Jersey Shore Association of Human Resources, LADACIN Network, and Brookdale Community College.

“The county continues to provide resources and to respond to the needs of the business community,” Director of the Division of Workforce Development Eileen Higgins said. “This job fair will focus on this holiday season, but jobseekers can always find out about local employment resources by contacting the One-Stop Career Center in Eatontown.”

The One Stop Career Center, located at 145 Wyckoff Road in Eatontown, helps people of all income levels find employment. They offer a variety of services, including retraining and writing a resume. Career counselors are also available to help people who already have a job find a better job.

Additionally, the One Stop Career Center has a room entitled the Learning Link which is full of computers where people can train online and brush up on computer skills, reading, math skills, and other additional tutoring. People even utilize this resource by working toward their GED.
