1. Sun and Breezy: Today will be breezy and mostly sunny with the high temperature rising to around 46. The sky remains mostly clear tonight and the low drops to nippy 28 degrees. 

 

2. Government:

  • The Township Committee is meeting at 8 p.m. within the courtroom of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building. The meeting was originally scheduled for 3 p.m., but has been rescheduled to 8 p.m.
  • The Environmental Commission is meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the Manalapan Township Municipal Building.

 

3. Manalapan High School Sports:

  • Boys and Girls Varsity Bowling vs. Jackson Memorial High School at 3:30 p.m.
  • Boys Varsity Wrestling vs. Colts Neck High School at 4:30 p.m.
  • Boys JV Wrestling vs. Colts Neck High School at 4:30 p.m.

Away

  • There are no away games scheduled today.

 

4. Candlelight Vigil: A Candelight Vigil will be held tonight at 7:45 p.m. in front of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building in memory of the lives lost in Newtown, Conn. on Friday, Dec. 14.  

 

5. Read to the Dogs: Break out those books and get ready for some barking! Children in grades 1 and up can come to the Monmouth County Library today to read their favorite story to furry friend. The dogs are therapy dogs and love to listen. The first session begins at 4 p.m. and the second session begins at 4:35 p.m. Pleaese call the library at 732-431-7220 ext. 7226 to see if space is available.
