1. Sun and Breezy: Today will be breezy and mostly sunny with the high temperature rising to around 46. The sky remains mostly clear tonight and the low drops to nippy 28 degrees. 

2. Government:

• The Township Committee is meeting at 8 p.m. within the courtroom of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building. The meeting was originally scheduled for 3 p.m., but has been rescheduled to 8 p.m.
• The Environmental Commission is meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the Manalapan Township Municipal Building.

4. Candlelight Vigil: A Candelight Vigil will be held tonight at 7:45 p.m. in front of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building in memory of the lives lost in Newtown, Conn. on Friday, Dec. 14.  

5. Read to the Dogs: Break out those books and get ready for some barking! Children in grades 1 and up can come to the Monmouth County Library today to read their favorite story to furry friend. The dogs are therapy dogs and love to listen.
