1. Possible Rain: There will be a 20 percent chance rain today, according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise, the day will be mostly cloudy with a high temperature around 48. Tonight will be cloudy with a low temperature around 43.



2. Manalapan High School Sports:


  • There are no home games scheduled for today.


  • Boys Varsity Basketball vs. Brick Township High School at 4 p.m.
  • Boys Freshman Basketball vs. Brick Township High School at 4 p.m.



3. Holiday Concert Sunday: Imperial Brass, a 28-piece brass ensemble, will be playing holiday favorites this Sunday, Dec. 9 at the Monmouth County Library from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. They will be playing selections from their album, “Have Yourself a Brassy Little Christmas”.



4. Parents of Special People Donation: Five Below, both in Manalapan and in Holmdel, is holding their third annual holiday fundraiser today to help support Parents of Special People. 5. Baseball, Softball Registration: Spring 2013 registration is now open for THE Manalapan Baseball and Softball Association. Register before Dec. 31 and save 10 percent on your registration fee. To register, please visit the the Manalapan Baseball and Softball Association website.
