1. Possible Rain: The National Weather Service is calling for a 40 percent chance of rain today. Otherwise, the day will be mostly cloudy with a high of about 48. The skies remain mostly cloudy tonight and the low temperature drops to about 38.

2. Last Branch Pick-up: Today is the last day for branch and debris pick-up in the Englishtown Borough. Please make sure all branches are placed at the curb.

4. Christmas Tree Pickup: This is the weekend to take down the ornaments off of that dry, drooping tree in your living room because the Manalapan Department of Public Works will be collecting Christmas trees on Monday, Jan. 14. Please place the trees at the curb. Englishtown will be collecting Christmas trees until the end of January.

5. Polish Dinner: The Columbian Club of Freehold Knights of Columbus is holding a Polish Dinner at their Council Hall, located at 70 East Main Street in Freehold Borough, on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy delicious Polish classics such as Pickled Beet Salad, Fresh and Smoked Kielbasa, Stuffed Cabbage, Pieorgies, Sauerkraut, Mashed Potatoes, Pumpernickel Bread, and Angel Wings (Chruscik). The dinner costs $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12 years of age.
