1. Sunny Day: Today will be sunny with high temperature around 34, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low temperature dropping to about 25.


2. Manalapan High School Sports:


  • There are no home games scheduled today.


  • Girls Freshman Basketball vs. Red Bank Regional High School at 3:45 p.m.
  • Girls JV Basketball vs. Red Bank Regional High School at 5:15 p.m.
  • Girls Varsity Basketball vs. Red Bank Regional High School at 6:30 p.m.


3. Math SAT Tips: Mathematics professor Michael Carlin will be tutoring students in preparation for the SAT and PSAT tests. Students will learn some general techniques for help on the math portion of the standardized test. The tutoring session today will begin at 3 p.m. at the Monmouth County Library.

4. Flu Tips for Smartphone Users: Patch Blogger Ellen Webner offers great tips on how to avoid getting the flu from your smartphone during this current epidemic! Since viruses live on inanimate objects, such as phones - and most people take their phone everywhere - these tips are very helpful.

5. Deans List: Two Manalapan residents, Joseph Carlucci and Joshua Steinman, have made Dean’s List at Muhlenberg College for the fall 2012 semester. Carlucci graduated from St. John Vianney High School and Steinman graduated Manalapan High School.
