1. Partly Sunny: Today will be partly sunny with a high temperature around 41, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly clear with the low temperature dropping to about 26.

2. Government:

  • The Englishtown Mayor and Council is meeting in the courtroom of the Englishtown Municipal Building at 6:30 p.m.
  • The Manalapan Township Committee is meeting in the courtroom of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building at 8 p.m.

3. Manalapan High School: The Manalapan High School Field Hockey team is holding their banquet tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the cafeteria of Manalapan High School. Congrats on a great season girls!

 

 

4. Read to the Dogs: The Monmouth County Library is holding their “Read to the Dogs” program twice today - from 4 to 4:25 p.m. and from 4:35 to 5 p.m. Both programs are for children in first grades and higher. The children will come in and read their favorite story to a dog friend! Registration is required, please call 732-431-7220 x 7226.

 

 

5. Hurricane Sandy Fundraiser: Enjoy dinner, dancing, refreshments, raffles, prizes, casino tables and a money machine at Sterling Gardens in Matawan for $75. The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. All proceeds will be donated to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund. Sterling Gardens is located at 227 Freneau Avenue in Matawan.
