1. Sunny: Today will be sunny with a high around 48, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly clear and the low will drop to about 27.

2. Government:

  • The Channel 77 volunteers are meeting in room 216 of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building at 7 p.m. tonight.


3. Schools: All schools within the Freehold Regional High School District are closed on Monday and Tuesday and all schools within the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District are closed through this week.

4. Tips for Disaster Recovery: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has issued tips on how to quickly recover after Hurricane Sandy..

5. No More Clothing: The Monmouth County Hurricane Sandy donation center at Thompson Park, 805 Newman Springs Road (Route 520) in Lincroft, has been inundated with clothing donations and is no longer accepting any more clothes. However, they are still in need of bottled water, diapers, cleaning supplies, nonperishable food and personal hygiene products.
