5 Things to Know Today in Manalapan: Nov. 9, 2012

1. Here Comes the Sun: Today will be sunny with a high temperature around 53, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, the low will dip to around 36 and the sky will be mostly clear.

2. Friday Night Dance Party: Get out of the cold by breaking out your dance moves at Knob Hill Golf Club tonight for their weekly dance party. Cover charge is $10; the dance party lasts from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

3. Medicare Open Enrollment: As a part of their “Be Smarter” series, the Monmouth County Library is holding a special program entitled “What Should I Do?” all about Medicare Open Enrollment. The special program all about submitting the annual Medicare Open Enrollment form is being held today at 9:30 a.m. at the Monmouth County Library.  NJ Senior Medicare Patrol will be presenting the free program.

4. Kids Helping Kids Toy Drive: A toy drive for kids who lost everything in Hurricane Sandy is being held on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1 Elm Lane in Manalapan. For more information, click here.

5. Holiday Music Event: The Village Inn in Englishtown is holding a folk/rock/blues music concert on Saturday, Nov. 10 at noon. Christmas crafts, jewelry, and other items will be sold at the event. Desserts will also be available.
