1. Chance of Rain: Clouds will increase throughout the day and there will be a 30 percent chance of showers between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The high temperature today will reach 73 degrees. Tonight will be cloudy with the low temperature dipping to near 54; the chance of rain will also continue.

 

 

2. Government:

  • The Senior Citizen Advisory is meeting in room 213 of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building at 9:30 a.m.
  • The Englishtown Borough Mayor and Council is holding a meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Village Inn.

3. Delayed Opening at MHS: Manalapan High School will be having a delayed opening for all students today.

 

 

4. International Film: The Monmouth County Library will be playing the international film “The Class” today at 2 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. as a part of their “Fall International Film Series”. The French film follows Francois Marin and his friends at a racially mixed high school in Paris.

 

 

5. Flu Vaccination Clinics: The Manalapan Health Department is holding two flu vaccination clinics at the Manalapan Township Municipal Building today. Shots are free for Seniors presenting Medicare Part B insurance cards. The fee is $20 for all others.

  • People ages 12 and up can get their flu shot at 2 p.m.
  • People ages 6 months and older can get their flu shot at 3 p.m.
