1. Winds rage, but temperatures rise: The high temperature today will reach 73 degrees with strong winds blowing in at approximately 26 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service. There is a 50 percent chance raindrops may fall and thunder may boom after noon today. Tonight, expect the low temperature to reach around 47 degrees, with a 20 percent chance of rainfall before 1 a.m.

 

2. Government:

  • The Environmental Commission meets at 8 p.m. tonight in room 213 of the  

 

3. Manalapan High School Sports:

The girls varsity softball team plays a double-header at home today; no school for spring break does not mean these girls get a break from the field! Please come out and show your support for the Braves!

  • GV Softball vs. Monmouth Regional High School at 10 a.m.
  • GV Softball vs. Ridgefield Park High School at 1 p.m.

 

4. :

  • Computer Class: Twitter, Skype, and Internet Hype will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This class explains the basics of social networking sites and various interesting Web sites. A 30 minute question and answer session will follow the class. 
  • Duplicate Bridge will be played from noon until 3:30 p.m.
  • As part of the library's Spring International Film Series, the Italian film Light of My Eyes will have two showings today. The film will play from 2 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. and again from 6:30 p.m. until 8:10 p.m. The 2001 film has earned 6 wins and 12 nominations.
  • Come in and read to the dogs! There are two sessions of "Read to the Dogs" today; the first session is from 4 p.m. to 4:25 p.m. and the second session is 4:35 p.m. until 5 p.m. Registration is required. Both sessions are for children enrolled in first grade and above. The pups love the stories and are great listeners! For a video on what "Read to the Dogs" entails, click . 

 

5. Recycling: If your garbage gets picked up on Tuesdays and Fridays, today is the second Wednesday in April your recycling gets picked up! Please put your recycling out on the curb the night before or prior to 6 a.m. today.
